Something very cool is about to happen in the sleepy little border town of Blaine.
December 1st at 5:00 PM-next 3 weekends
Blaine will celebrate its “Holiday Harbor Lights” tree lighting when Santa arrives on the new boardwalk. His journey will be unique to say the least. First, he will journey across the waters of Drayton Harbor with the lighted ships parade on the passenger ferry Plover. At the Blaine Harbor Marina, he will board a fire engine for the boardwalk plaza tree lighting. Following the tree lighting he will climb aboard a Lama driven carriage for the one block journey to the Worldly Treasures building where the Sweet Road Artisans are holding their 3rd annual Winterfest fine arts and crafts show. Santa will then leave his coach and join the festivities of music, arts demonstrations and holiday cheer to spend time with children and families on the central stage.
Come one, come all to the WinterFest celebration, held in Blaine the first three weekends in December, from 10:00 AM till 5:00 PM except December 1st, when the show will run till 7:00 PM.
For more information, please call Ron Snyder and Cathy Taggett at (360) 332-8082,
